The Holy Spirit – Downloads & Uploads!

A fast Internet is needed for the wealth of knowledge and information. Likewise, our lives must be in line with God's will to receive all that God has in store for us. Unless we have fiber, the download speed will be much faster than the upload speed through a cable modem connection.

The Holy Spirit is the Search Engine of Heaven!

Apostle Paul to the Corinthians: “But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God” (I Corinthians 2:9-10).

The Holy Spirit is instrumental for heaven’s uploads and downloads! Just as He brings our answers quickly from heaven, He carries our prayers to heaven and even prays with groaning to conform us to God's will. “Likewise, the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God” (Romans 8:26-27).

“(He) knows what the mind of the Spirit is!”

“He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God!”

Fastest Downloads from Heaven!

How do we download fast and easily all that God has in store for us? We need to have three important qualities:

1)     Belief in God: Abraham believed in the Lord: “And (Abraham) believed in the Lord, and (God) accounted it to him for righteousness” (Genesis 15:6).  “(Abraham) did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore ‘it was accounted to him for righteousness’” (Romans 4:20-22). Abraham became the “Father of Many Nations” and a “Friend of God” by his obedience to God without wavering. Abraham sets the example that one can be without riches, wealth, and status, and yet, by simply believing in God and cleaving to God, anyone can become great in the kingdom of God

2)     Trust in the Lord: During his ordeal, Job made this statement: “Though (God) slays me, yet will I trust Him. Even so, I will defend my own ways before Him” (Job 13:15). Job’s ordeal lasted only a short time but he received all that he lost with a double portion from the Lord and with God’s approval of Job before his false comforters: “And so it was, after the Lord had spoken these words to Job, that the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, ‘My wrath is aroused against you and your two friends, for you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has. Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, go to My servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and My servant Job shall pray for you. For I will accept him (his face), lest I deal with you according to your folly; because you have not spoken of Me what is right, as My servant Job has’” (Job 42:7-8).

 3)     Obedience to the Lord: Abraham is the example: “By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he dwelt in the land of promise as in a foreign country, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise; for he waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God” (Hebrews 11:8-10). As fast as Abraham received all that God had for him, he obeyed God immensely and immediately, even to the point of laying down his one and only son, Isaac, on the altars of Moriah, by surrendering to God’s command. Here is God’s download upon Abraham: “By Myself I have sworn, says the Lord, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son— blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice” (Genesis 22:16-18).

Fastest Upload to Heaven!

Upload speed is the fastest way we upload information from our computer to the Internet. What do we upload? PRAYER!

We do not upload as much as we download from above. Our communication with God is feeble, inconsistent, and very sporadic, just as our low download speed on a modem.

Prayers are incense that ascend to the throne of God: “Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth’” (Revelation 5:8-10). “When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. Then another angel, having a golden censor, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel’s hand” (Revelation 8:1-4).

The prerequisite to a fast download is HUMILITY!

God responds to humility while He hates pride: “But (God) gives more grace. Therefore, He says: ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble’” (James 4:6).

Jesus’s example of humility: “Also, (Jesus) spoke this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: ‘Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’ And the tax collector, standing afar off, would not so much as raise his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled (put down), and he who humbles himself will be exalted’” (Luke 18:9-14).
