The Unmistakable Stature of CHRIST!
“God, who at various times (in many portions) and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds (ages); who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged (cleansed) our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become so much better than the angels, as He has by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they” (Hebrews 1:1-4).
If there is ever a doubt about the inheritance, stature, and the authenticity of Christ and His calling by God, the writer of Hebrews clarifies it perfectly in the passage above.
God is Supreme and High Above All gods!
God sent us the Prophets with His Message in the Old Testament!
God Sent His Son, Jesus, in the Last Days to Speak Through Him!
Jesus signifies the end of the Prophets God Sent!
Jesus is More Than a Prophet, He Is God’s Very Own Son!
Jesus is Appointed by God, Heir of All Things!
God Made the Worlds, Ages, Through Christ!
Christ is the Brightness of God’s Glory!
Christ is the Express Image of God – God’s Similitude!
Christ Upholds ALL Things by the WORD of His Power!
Christ is Solely Responsible for the Purging of Our Sins!
After His Mission, Christ Sat Down at the Right Hand of the Most High God (EL ELYON)!
Christ is Better than the Angels and the supreme beings that Assemble Before God!
Christ Has Been Made WORTHY by Three Things: His INHERITANCE From His FATHER, His OBEDIENCE to the FATHER, and by His CHARACTER!
At the end, God is still God, Christ is Christ, and Christ is an Excellent and Perfect Example of Who and What We Can Become in God in the LIKENESS OF CHRIST!
God is Supreme!
“Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: ‘I am the First, and I am the Last; besides Me there is no God’” (Isaiah 44:6).
God sent us the Prophets!
“Since the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them” (Jeremiah 7:25).
God Spoke Through His Son, Jesus!
“While he was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, ‘This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!’” (Matthew 17:5).
Jesus, Heir of All Things!
“No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known]” (John 1:18, Amplified)
Jesus Took Part in Creation!
(Christ) is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him” (Colossians 1:15-16).
Christ is the Brightness of God’s Glory!
“Now after six days, Jesus took Peter, James, and John, his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light” (Matthew 17:1-2).
Christ is the Express Image of God’s Person!
“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. Christ Upholds All Things!
“And (Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things consist” (Colossians 1:17).
Christ Alone Purged Our Sins!
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace” (Ephesians 1:7).
Christ is at the Right Hand of the Father!
“Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, a Minister of the sanctuary (holies) and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man” (Hebrews 8:1-2).
Christ is Made Worthy!
“Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll, and to open its seals; for You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, and have made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign on the earth…Worthy is the Lamb who was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing!’” (Revelation 5:8-10, 12).
